Our Armagh store has a unique bait room stocked with boilies, pellets, pop-ups and liquids from the top bait brands — and anything you order online can be collected the same day from Armagh or Newry. Whether you're a beginner looking for your first setup or an experienced angler chasing your next PB, our team of carp fishing experts are here to help you find the right gear.

Answers to common questions from our team of anglers.

For most Irish waters a 12ft rod with a 2.75–3lb test curve covers everything from PVA bag work to longer casts. Beginners are usually best with a 2.75lb all-rounder — call in and the team will match a rod to the waters you fish.

A reliable 12–15lb monofilament suits most situations; step up to 18lb+ or braid around snags and weed. We stock Korda, Fox, Gardner and ESP line in store and can spool your reels while you wait.

As a rule of thumb: 2–3oz for general bottom-bait fishing, heavier (3.5oz+) for bolt-rig effect or holding in flow. Bring your rod in and we'll set you up with a balanced arrangement.

Match the water: boilies and pop-ups are the staple, with pellets and particles for opportunist feeding. Our Armagh bait room carries Mainline, Sticky and Korda baits — ask what's been catching locally.
